How can I quieten my mind?

How can I quieten my mind? I love this TED talk by Anthony Metivier, about how we can learn to neutralise our negative thoughts. He suggests we ask ourself two simple questions, which are: Are my thoughts useful? How do they behave?

It seems such a simple way to quieten our mind.

There are some other techniques Anthony discusses, such as memorising Sanskrit phrases, and the ability of patterns to neutralise patterns, which I am intrigued by and will investigate in more detail.

He also points out the importance of learning to be able to extract value even from the things we don’t like. We cannot change other people, but we can change ourselves. Changing our mindset can help us change the outcome of any situation for the better.

Project 365

I set up this website after deciding that I want to build a more creative life for myself, so I can give up my job and be in control of my own destiny.

I have set myself a goal of publishing an article on my website every day this year, to document my journey from employment to self-employment.

The name I chose was Project 365 because I see this as a year that I have dedicated to learning and self-development, as I countdown to freedom. It started on 1st January 2021, so I have 241 days to go!

I have decided to set up a blog, and to document my adventures in life through it.
