How can I overcome my fear of public speaking?

How can I overcome my fear of public speaking? I love this TED talk by Richard Greene, in which he shares his tips for overcoming our fear of public speaking. He also shares some of his favourite speeches of all time.

Richard explains that words only communicate 7% of the impact we have. Our voice tone and passion contribute a further 38%, and 55% comes from our body language.

The most important thing to work on is the message that you want to leave people with. That’s what makes a great speech.

Public speaking should not be thought of as performing, or presenting, but as a two way conversation, about something that you are authentically passionate about.

Being able to use all four communication languages (visual, auditory, auditory digital and kinesthetic) makes a speaker great, because they can connect with everyone in the audience.

Speaking with authentic passion gives us the ability to share that passion and make the world a better place.

Project 365

I set up this website after deciding that I want to build a more creative life for myself, so I can give up my job and be in control of my own destiny.

I have set myself a goal of publishing an article on my website every day this year, to document my journey from employment to self-employment.

The name I chose was Project 365 because I see this as a year that I have dedicated to learning and self-development, as I countdown to freedom. It started on 1st January 2021, so I have 228 days to go!

I have decided to set up a blog, and to document my adventures in life through it.
